| Pricerunner |
www.pricerunner.co.uk

Rating: 5 Stars |
| Pricerunner review: This seems to be the best of the 'compare prices online' sites. It found us a fantastic TV at a huge discount on the recommended price. Links directly to the appropriate page on the retailers site. Also includes links to appropriate external reviews. |

| Art Republic |
www.artrepublic.com

Rating: 4 Stars |
| Art Republic review: Not only does this site provide a great variety of posters and prints for sale, but also lists current and forthcoming exhibitions in the UK and abroad. Includes options to search by subject, style, artist and even the dominant colours. Much used and appreciated by us. |

Rating: 3 Stars |
| Otherland Toys review: Remember those remote control cars you always wanted as a teenager, but could never afford? Get them here. Or a water pistol/rifle with built-in laser sights. Cool! Or what about a frisbee that writes your name or message in the sky as it flies? Otherland Toys is the place to get all these and more. |

| My Tyres |
www.mytyres.net

Rating: 2 Stars |
| My Tyres review: Order tyres from this site and they will deliver them to you. Not sure quite what you do with them when they arrive, since their list of fitters is limited. Frankly we're not terribly excited and the design is poor, but if you're after tyres then the company looks reasonably trustworthy. |

| Kelkoo Price Comparison |
www.kelkoo.co.uk

Rating: 4 Stars |
| Kelkoo Price Comparison review: Kelkoo is another of the price comparison sites, aimed at providing you with accurate information on the best prices available for a huge range of goods from travel to computer equipment. The user interface is slightly more complicated than other comparison sites, but crucially it appears to have a broader range of sites from which it draws prices - which should mean potentially lower prices for you. Unfortunately Kelkoo doesn't provide supplier reviews (although basic company information is given), so be sure to check the reviews on UKHelpdesk before ordering. |

| eBay |
www.ebay.co.uk

Rating: 4 Stars |
| eBay review: Although we've never really warmed to eBay's appearance, and much of the goods on sale are junk, it remains the largest auction site. Not only that but it has also managed to develop a sustainable business model - there's serious money being made here. The usual warnings apply - check what you're buying, and the rating of the person you're buying it from. Look carefully at eBay's 'Safe Trading' page before you go too far. |

| Keep-Talking Mobile Communications |
www.keep-talking.net

Rating: 2 Stars |
| Keep-Talking Mobile Communications review: Sites which don't provide a physical postal address get low marks from us. Sites which simply deliver adverts dressed-up as content get low marks. This site has both. Having said that, it does have a little useful content, and some moderately active forums. |

Rating: 4 Stars |
| IWantOneOfThose review: You don't need this stuff, but you really, really want it. Can't say we've tested it, but apparently you can buy anything from a Russian L39 Fighter Jet to an original red Telephone box, to numerous bugging devices. |

| Tesco |
www.tesco.com

Rating: 4 Stars |
| Tesco review: Who are the biggest threat to Amazon's dominance of online commerce? In our view it's Tesco. They have already done a tremendous job on groceries (it's the two hour evening delivery window which is key), and now electricals, DVDs, books, flowers, wine, even gas & electricity pricing comparison. Their website is still a little busy, but usability is definitely improved. |

| ToyMonkey |
www.toymonkey.com

Rating: 3 Stars |
| ToyMonkey review: ToyMonkey provide a broad range of gadgets and toys, including some more unique products such as Robot Wars models allowing you to re-create battles from the BBC series. Not quite as slick as some other gadget sites, but they have good prices, and deliver promptly. |

| Segway |
www.segway.com

Rating: 4 Stars |
| Segway review: The Segway Human Transporter has arrived. Well not quite in the UK yet, but the Segway has at last launched in America. What is it? A revolutionary device designed essentially to replace walking. Sound confusing? Have a look at the site. |

| QXL Auctions |
www.qxl.com

Rating: 3 Stars |
| QXL Auctions review: Auction sites are all the rage at the moment, and ideally suited to the web. Want to sell off that lampshade which your mother says is worth a fortune, or on the lookout for some cheap games? This might be the place. Remember that you are often dealing with individuals, and have to rely on them to actually deliver the goods, but there are user rankings - buying from 'Star Sellers' should give greater confidence. |

| Maplin |
www.maplin.co.uk

Rating: 4 Stars |
| Maplin review: Maplin have always been good for electrical and mechanical nick-nacks, but increasingly they are selling more consumer-orientated goods such as hi-fi accessories, Christmas lights and computer peripherals. We haven't ordered through the site because there's a shop just round the corner - find what you want online, then give the branch a call to check availability. |
